Many players see Thunder as the continuation of Smoky, earliest gun in Tanki Online. But this is only partly true. In terms of game mechanics Thunder is more like a rapid-firing Railgun. High rate of fire and massive damage (damages all tanks within 10 meters of explosion) make Thunder the king of DM. In CTF Thunder plays the midfield role, from where it can support both attacking players and defenders. It is not the best choice for attack because of self-damage but very useful in TDM.

This second generation middle-caliber gun is the best choice for dynamic battle. Splash damage (make sure you don’t hit yourself!) allows you to attack a group of enemy vehicles. Quick recharge will give you a distinct advantage over heavy tanks of enemy. Equipped with light armor Thunder is one of the most dangerous weapons on the battlefield.

Description in Garage

This second generation middle-caliber gun is the best choice for dynamic battle. Splash damage (make sure you don’t hit yourself!) allows you to attack a group of enemy vehicles. Quick recharge will give you a distinct advantage over heavy tanks of enemy. Equipped with light armor Thunder is one of the most dangerous weapons on the battlefield.

Table of characteristics

Min damage — minimum damage dealt to an enemy tank per one shot of the turret.
Max damage — maximum damage dealt to an enemy tank per one shot of the turret.
Reloading (msec) — pause between shots.
Range of max damage (m) — distance at which the turret deals its full damage. If the distance is bigger than the max damage range, the damage constantly decreases till the minimum damage range.
Range of min damage (m) — distance at which the turret's damage stops decreasing. If the distance to the target is bigger, damage will be dealt according to "weak damage" parameter.
Weak damage (%) — the % of normal damage dealt to an enemy at distances bigger that minimum damage range.
Max damage radius (m) — distance from projectile's impact point at which enemy receives maximum damage. If the distance to the target is bigger, the damage constantly decreases till the minimum damage radius.
Min damage radius (m) — distance from projectile's impact point at which enemy receives minimum damage. If the distance to the target is bigger, damage will not be dealt.
Weak damage (splash) (%) — the % or normal damage dealt at a distance from the projectile's impact point, equal to minimum damage radius.
Rotation speed (deg/sec) — maximum speed the turret can turn at.
Rotation acceleration (deg/sec²) — acceleration of the turret getting to its maximum rotation speed.
Auto-aim upwards (deg) — angle of auto-aim if a target is above the turret's horizontal plane.
Auto-aim downwards (deg) — angle of auto-aim if a target is below the turret's horizontal plane.
Impact force — physical impact of a turret's projectile on enemy tanks when hitting them.
Explosion impact — physical impact on enemy tanks in the damage radius from projectile's impact point.
Recoil — physical impact of the turret on itself when shooting.
