«

Social Media helpers respond to any questions asked, either in the comment section, or the PM. We go through every comment, and see if it should / shouldn't be in our FB page. We either answer the question, or remove it if it doesn't follow the TO rules. We try our best to answer everything - still, there can be unanswered posts from time to time. If you asked something in comments and didn't get an answer - send it to our PM, we'll deal with it as fast as we can.

The primary task of a Social Media helper is to faciliate the communication between Tanki's players and Tanki as a company. Besides answering player questions, a FB mod openly engages with players in the comments section. Some FB mods also help organize events.

What would be your advice for those looking to become a Facebook moderator?

«

Applicants must have a really good understanding of all phases of Tanki Rules, games and Tournaments. They must be mature enough to not get emotionally involved with situations and not respond inappropriately.

«

You need to learn to not get angry or nervous, no matter of the situation. As a FB mod, you'll meet many players that like to insult or provoke - don't respond the same way, just keep cool and do your work - seeing that you're always nice and willing to help, as the time goes, many of those who liked to provoke you will slowly stop doing it and start behaving normally. Be nice, treat everyone the same way. One final thing: Work so hard, that one day your signature will be called an autograph.

I'd say the most important thing for a prospective Social Media helper to keep in mind is the creative nature of the job. The term Moderator is a bit misleading, since moderation is a trivial part of a FB mod's work. Whereas a Chat Moderator or Forum Moderator requires integrity, a keen eye, and dedication, a FB Mod requires amiability, sensitivity towards the players, and creativity in order to keep the page lively. If you'd love to help the TO project but you find Chat or Forum Moderation a bit mechanical for your tastes, this is the position for you.
